We are delighted to welcome Swinburne University as the 2008 Welcome Reception sponsor. If you’re looking at gaining a qualification in technical communication, entry into Swinburne University’s online postgraduate Technical Communication courses is now open. The Graduate Certificate of Social Science (Technical Communication) and the Graduate Diploma of Social Science (Technical Communication) offer university-level qualifications to technical communicators via online delivery. The courses have been developed in close consultation with the Australian Society for Technical Communication (ASTC) Victoria and are designed for those looking to formalise their existing skills, or move into the technical communication field. The teaching semester starts on 1 September and runs for 12 teaching weeks with a one-week mid-semester break. Applications close on 1st August. Author-it Software will be showcasing the latest in their product line at AODC. The vendor exhibition will be held on Thursday 15th May. This is a unique opportunity to speak directly with software vendors, ask lots of questions and often to get some free giveaways as well!
